Also Denuvo Anti-Cheat is a separate solution. Pretty sure VAC sends all sorts of information back. I question the intentions of anyone who supports these anti-consumer practices. And you'd probably have to be a Rhodes scholar to decode the legalese in the EULA which no one reads, but agrees to, to understand what you're actually signing up for when purchasing and installing a game with Denuvo. Denuvo Anti-Cheat only detects cheats – then game publishers decide how to respond to the cheaters found.Although I don't see the fine print where it says that this data isn't used for data harvesting and marketing purposes the comment "Only used to catch cheats" doesn't specifically address this concern. It collects information on how the OS interacts with the game and sends the information to Amazon-hosted servers for cheat detection. The Denuvo Anti-Cheat solution runs only when your game is running, and it does not collect any personally identifiable information. Irdeto makes this claim about Denuvo on their website: ![]() What does Denuvo do behind the "Walled Garden" it creates on ones' system? Obviously, we're prevented from peeking inside this Walled Garden, but who knows what kind of data is collected about users and their systems and how that data is used? I also have concerns from another perspective. The problem runs much deeper than just always online DRM though: Denuno is anti-consumer by its very nature by virtue of the fact that it is always online DRM and treats the purchaser more like a criminal than a customer. ![]()
